Crafting fictional narratives that explore uncertain yet possible futures.

Ángela Jiménez Durán’s artistic practice revolves around installation and sculpture, sometimes incorporating writing and drawing. Her work has been exhibited in international spaces such as La Casa Encendida (Madrid), POUSH (Paris), and Maus Hábitos (Porto). In 2023, she won the Palais de Tokyo x Art of Change 21 Eco-Conception award.

Her works often function like fragments of a larger story, with some pieces becoming clues in a broader narrative that explores uncertain yet possible futures. Working with clay, sand, wax, and metal, Ángela exposes her sculptures and installations to processes of change: they soften, melt, harden, and vibrate. As a result, she is particularly drawn to creating a sense of strangeness, leaving the viewer with the impression that something has happened or is about to happen.
