Creating forms that affect our movement or posture, and in which the prevailing question is not the object itself, but how it interacts with its surroundings. 


Esther Gatón’s practice spans sculpture, audiovisual works, installation, and text. She studied fine art at Saint-Luc in Liège (BE), University of Barcelona (ES), and Goldsmiths London (GB). Her work has been exhibited in institutions such as Matadero, and she has also published writings in different publications.

Her site specific environments often distort the meanings associated with various materials, engaging with how objects interact with their surroundings rather than the objects themselves. She frequently explores sensuality through artisanal techniques, bringing together disparate materials in a game of seduction, where organic and bone-like forms emerge and interact with their environment.
